Discussion
and Actions taken:
1.
Still waiting on papers of incorporation. While the check has been
cashed by the state, they have not record of the papers. Will submit again as
expedited with a copy of payment.
2.
Resolution to be presented at General Convention:
Resolve that: The Diocese of the Rio Grande is committed to the discipline, faith and unity of The Episcopal Church USA as the American expression of the rich and diverse Anglican tradition.

August Meetings
A.
Set dates in Northern diocese for 8/16, 8/17 or 8/18.
B.
PJR will contact the Cathedral to see if they will host one of those
dates and then

Need to get information to Diane asap so it can get posted and mailed

Carole will visit parishes in the more rural parts of the state:

General focus of the sessions
A.
Review status of nominations and process
B.
Solicit names of delegates and wardens from the parishes in attendance
C.
Communicate how this is part of long-term strategy to lead up to the
convention and afterwards. Focus:
regardless of who is elected Bishop there is a role for the types of
discussions that have been occurring.
D.
Small group work to take a draft report card with major “bins” of
categories and ask groups to fill in how the candidates should be assessed. Use
the documentation from original VMRG meetings, Days of Discernment etc. Flesh
out the values that have been stated.
E.
Emphasize the role that each participant must play in the election; the
system won’t do it for them.
5.
Discussed meetings in September once the final set of candidates is
know and preparation for the interview process.
